Pastors need support from other, older and wiser pastors—be it in prayer or with counsel and training. That’s plain and simple. Furthermore, rural pastors often have not had the opportunity for formal theological and pastoral training. Formerly under the leadership of Pastor Artis Fletcher and Pastor Lloyd C. Blue, the Pastor’s Development Ministry set out to meet the needs of rural Pastors in south-central Mississippi.

The overall goal of the Pastors Development ministry is to facilitate pastors in developing holistic ministries rurally, with a specific focus on strengthening families. Our goal is to redevelop this program with a core group of pastors who are willing to meet monthly to participate in seminars and workshops utilizing the web.

When Pastors are developed churches are strengthened, when churches are strengthened families are strengthened, and when families are strengthened communities are changed. So join us as we move forward in this vital ministry.
