The Perkins Visitors
Center
Formally, the home of John and Vera Mae Perkins, the founders of The Mendenhall
Minitries, the Perkins Visitors Center welcomes newcomers and volunteers to the
area. A pictorial history of the Ministry is depicted on the walls in the
renovated downstairs area. Photos of personalities and activities from the
sixties, the seventies, the eighties, and the nineties, tell of valley and
mountain top experiences of the people involved in holistic ministry in South
central Mississippi.
A comfortable one-bedroom apartment awaits the weary individual traveler or
couple who comes to stay for a while; for the most part to volunteer time and
expertise toward enhancing the lives of others.
The house originally stood between TMM's administration building and the
Community Law Office. It has since been moved across the street, facing
Mendenhall Bible Church.
All are welcome!
