Volunteer Services

Our volunteer services is one of the most unique aspects of TMM. Our volunteer program gives many from around the state and nation, who have not experienced poverty, a chance to live, learn and develop empathy for others. Church groups who come to serve on a short term or long term basis, have an opportunity to serve in the following areas:

Receptionist for the administrative offices
Assist with mailing
Assist president as needed
Assist with volunteer groups
Assist teachers at Genesis One Christion School (nursery - high school)
Provide needed repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, painting in housing and ministry buildings.
And much more

We can accomodate small and large groups of volunteers. Our volunteer center houses up to 100 volunteers and includes a kitchen and dining room area. For our smaller groups, we have a one bedroom apartment and a two bedroom / two bath house. Both have fully furnished kitchens. Laundry facilities are available.

The presence of volunteers says to the community that people "from the other side of the tracks" care. Volunteers learn, "I can make a difference too." That's what crossing the tracks is all about!
